dangerous man, 41, found three days after eloping from camh

glenroy blake, who has over 30 adult convictions, has been in and out of camh since being found not criminally responsible in 2010

a “significant threat” to the community, especially women, has been located three days after disappearing from the centre for addiction and mental health — again.
toronto police appealed for help from the public in finding glenroy blake, 41, after he vanished monday from the area of queen st. w. and ossington ave., where camh is located.
blake, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2010, was located around 12:15 p.m. on thursday, police say.
he also went awol from camh in june and after returning four days later, staff reportedly found drug paraphernalia and “clean urine” for use in drug screenings stashed in his belongings.
blake has over 80 criminal charges and 30 convictions as an adult, including weapons-related offences, uttering threats, assault, and criminal harassment, typically targeting women he doesn’t know.
blake, who has a history of violence and drug abuse, has been in and out of camh since 2010 when he was found not criminally responsible (ncr) on four charges of failure to comply with bail and one each of watching a dwelling house, failure to comply with probation, prowling by night and carrying a concealed weapon.
according to the ontario review board, which is mandated to annually review his progress and determine his conditions for the upcoming year, his 2010 arrest found him “to be carrying tape, a stainless steel ice pick and a dildo, which were collectively referred to in a later part of the hospital report as ‘remarkably similar to a rape kit.’”
