the city of montreal reported friday around noon that snow-removal operations were an average of 41 per cent completed across all boroughs.
meanwhile, the region is under a snowfall warning that forecasts an extra 15 to 20 centimetres starting overnight friday and continuing into saturday. the storm will bring strong winds and a possibility of freezing rain by saturday afternoon. the weekend might be saved by sunday, when flurries are expected with a high of minus-2 c.

lachine reported being nearly three-quarters through its snow-clearing operations, while l’île-bizard─ste-geneviève had yet to get to the 25-per-cent mark. snow-clearing operations can be monitored on the city of montreal website .
