an ottawa “political insider” is scheduled to testify wednesday at a government operations committee hearing looking into the $54 million arrivecan project.

according to blacklock’s reporter , mps investigating the arrivecan app — initially created for travellers to report vaccination information before crossing into canada — have been unable to identify which federal manager approved the contracts that paid consultants millions.

consultant vaughn brennan, who was named a reluctant witness after he didn’t respond to the committee’s requests to appear at the hearing, bragged about how he “rubbed shoulders with every assistant deputy minister in town,” according to witnesses who earlier testified.
brennan, one of two people who work for gc strategies, declined to testify “despite our clerk going above and beyond in trying to accommodate them,” conservative mp kelly mccauley told mps earlier. “we’re having difficulties with them.”
gc strategies, based out of a private home, received an $8.9 million sole-sourced contract to work on the arrivecan project.
according to evidence, the company charged an undisclosed commission worth approximately $2.7 million and subcontracted the work.
