an israeli girl returned to school after she was released by hamas last week and her reunion with her classmates was caught on video.
emelia aloni, 5, is seen at the front gate of the school as she waited patiently for one of the teachers to unlock it and let her in.
aloni looked excited and expectant — until her teacher shows up with a huge grin on her face.
the teacher pulls aloni into a tight embrace before the child runs off towards the front doors where a crowd of girls were waiting to hug her.
the little girl looked joyous as she hugged each of her friends multiple times before other classmates run out of the classroom screaming aloni’s name.
another teacher shows up to take aloni’s hand and lead her into the school.
the girl and her mother, danielle aloni, were released by their captors on nov. 24.
while being held hostage, danielle was forced to write a letter praising how how hamas treated her daughter like a “queen.”
however, she revealed the truth soon after their release, saying her family was “brutally kidnapped” from their home.
