“omfg i’m so glad i’m not the only one. every night,” said one reply to the video, while another proclaimed, “it’s comforting.”
some social media users said cricketing is also a type of “stim” or “self-stimulation,” a self-soothing behaviour common among people who are neurodivergent.
experts say the technique has proven benefits, including calming the nervous system and helping your body “self-regulate.”
