hotline experts available on 4/20 to answer cannabis queries

despite the growing popularity of the unofficial weed holiday, need persists for free educational resources

have a burning question about cannabis that needs to be answered on the highest of high holidays, that being 4/20? feel free to get those answers via a canadian hotline (or is that potline?) today.
the educational, free, real-time consumer resource will be available on the most celebrated day on the weed calendar when cannabis is top of mind and plenty of pot partaking is likely to unfold.
courtesy of green organic dutchman holdings ltd. (godhl), the highly dutch organic 420 hotline welcomes individuals of legal age from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. est.
wondering who will be providing information from the other end of the line? the line is being staffed by budtenders, cannabis growers and industry experts.
inquiring minds need only call 1-833-444-4459 or direct message on instagram to @highlydutchorganic, asking whatever they want about cannabis to gain a higher understanding.

4/20 is a great time to learn about the plant while celebrating

“from the evolution of the counterculture movement to the growing legalization of cannabis around the world, the spirit of 4/20 has always been to celebrate cannabis with others,” says drew campbell, vice president of marketing for the green organic dutchman (tgod).

through the hotline, “we can help to ensure everyone has access to the information they need on the big day,” campbell notes in a statement from godhl , a mississauga, ont.-headquartered sustainable cannabis company that operates in canada’s recreational market and medicinal markets in south africa, australia and germany.

despite the growing profile of 4/20 generated by events, rallies and promotions worldwide, godhl points out there are “still limited educational resources for consumers” wanting to celebrate and learn about the plant.

people are viewing cannabis more positively

citing a survey conducted this spring by ipsos, godhl reports that 35 per cent of polled canadian adults have grown more open to, and positive about, cannabis use since ottawa greenlit recreational weed in the fall of 2018 . medicinal marijuana was legalized in 2001.

that positivity, however, is not solely a view held in canada. the 4/20 cannabis insights poll released this week by us-based jushi holdings inc. indicated 55.2 per cent of buyers tried “legal cannabis” for the first time in the last 12 months.

asked the primary reason why they were open to checking out cannabis, 26.1 per cent of respondents cited medical reasons, 23.4 per cent noted stress, 10.7 per cent reported wellness and 8.5 per cent pointed to sleep, notes a statement from jushi holdings , a vertically integrated, multi-state cannabis operator.

beyond use, the majority of respondents reported they “believe cannabis has an overall positive impact on society, economic growth and creation of high-quality local and national jobs,” the company reports. indeed, asked if the cannabis industry is important for the local economy, 62.6 per cent agreed that it was.

the inaugural national poll , conducted by pollfish and commissioned by jushi, reflects input from 1,100 cannabis and non-cannabis consumers, 21 or older, in the us.

“with the majority of americans now living in a state with a medical or adult-use program, misconceptions around cannabis are being shed,” jim cacioppo, ceo, chairman and founder of jushi, says in a company statement.

learning more about cannabis demands more learning resources

“the latest data clearly shows more people are not only embracing cannabis in their own lives, but also seeing the value it brings to their communities. this poll shows views on the plant and legalization are trending in a positive direction, and we believe this trajectory will only strengthen in the coming years,” cacioppo adds.
the recent ipsos survey found that 20 per cent of those polled “also confirmed that they’d be somewhat more or much more likely to consume cannabis if more educational resources were available,” godhl reports.

“whether someone is a cannabis-regular or hasn’t touched the plant in many decades, we owe it to curious individuals anywhere to support them,” tgod ceo sean bovingdon emphasizes in the statement.

high tide marks 4/20 by opening two new stores

high tide is also showing its support of the cannabis industry’s promise by marking 4/20 with the opening of two new canna cabana stores. one in alberta and the other in ontario, the stores will bring the company’s retail footprint to 115 countrywide, notes a statement from the retail-focused cannabis company that has bricks-and-mortar and global e-commerce assets.

the alberta store is set to open its doors in red deer county’s gasoline alley, a quickly growing retail and commercial district south of the city of red deer, while the store in london, ont., situated at the intersection of two major roadways in the city’s northwest, will welcome the population of 540,000-plus as well as the estimated 52,000 students from western university and fanshawe college.
“our existing stores in both red deer and london have performed very well, and we are anticipating further positive results from these new locations as we expand our footprint in both cities,” says high tide president and ceo raj grover.

student life app includes 4/20-friendly features

a considerable student population is certainly something to consider when it comes to cannabis.
in fact, dallas-based priority aviation inc. (pjet), a technology company that develops applications designed to enhance university student life, will soon release its student housing by owner application. the central application connects the local university community with students by facilitating the advertisement by property owners of real estate available for student rental.

“of course, we plan to include cannabis sector functionality into the overall student life marketplace functionality expansion of pjet’s applications,” notes company ceo steven rash. with 4/20, “giving a nod to our cannabis plans seemed like good timing,” rash says.
