hugh jackman has shared the results of his latest skin biopsy – and though he’s yet to get the all-clear, the star remains upbeat.
the x-men actor, who had cancerous growths removed from his nose in 2013 and 2017, had another procedure last week after his dermatologists expressed concern about yet another mole.
now he reveals he’s still not sure if the offending growth is cancerous or not, but he’s unconcerned because even if it is, the particular type of cancer is “very treatable.”
“update on my biopsy. it came back inconclusive. the worst it can be is a basel cell carcinoma (bcc) which is very treatable,” hugh said in a
video
posted on his social media accounts on sunday.
“when i’m done filming it’ll be rechecked. i know i’m repeating myself but… please get a skin check and wear sunscreen. thank you all for the support.”
hugh is getting ready to star in the broadway revival of the music man, which is set to begin previews on dec. 20, with performances currently scheduled until july 2022.
