dr. deena hinshaw said no decisions have been made yet on altering the plan for second doses, but they are exploring possibilities. currently, anyone who received their first dose in march or earlier can book their second dose appointment , while those who received their first dose in april can book as of june 14.
the province needs 70 per cent of albertans aged 12 and older to have received their first dose in order to fully reopen with no restrictions and on monday, premier jason kenney urged unvaccinated albertans to book their first dose of covid-19 vaccine, warning stage 3 could be delayed amid a “diminishing demand” in appointments in the province.
