the situation surrounding covid-19 changes every hour. today, a u.s. federal study was released showing that while young people are at much less risk of dying from the virus, those between the ages of 20 and 44 make up about 20 per cent of the hospitalizations in the country.
the centre for disease control and prevention (cdc) analyzed 2,500 cases. of the 121 that were submitted to the icu, 12 per cent were between the ages of 20 and 44. dr. deborah birx of the cdc said today that she was concerned about reports coming out of france and italy of more young people falling seriously ill because they did not know they were exposed to the virus.
