according to sunday’s report by the province, ottawa’s health unit counted 19 new cases of covid-19. ottawa public health will have its own data report available later in the day.
in areas outside of ottawa, the province reported two new cases in the eastern ontario health unit. the leeds, grenville and lanark district health unit and the renfrew county and district health unit didn’t have any new cases.
when it came to the health units with the highest number of new cases, toronto had 109, york region had 57, peel region had 51, hamilton had 42 and windsor-essex had 29.
province-wide, 115 people were in intensive care units with covid-19 and 76 of them were on ventilators.
