second doses will also be offered to cancer patients and solid organ transplant recipients at that point.
after that, eligibility for shot no. 2 will continue to expand based on age.
step one of reopening
this week, moe unveiled what he called a ‘roadmap’ to relaxing public health measures.
the plan contains the proviso that it can be paused if pressure on saskatchewan’s critical care system becomes untenable.
the first step is anticipated to start in the last week of may and will begin three weeks after 70 per cent of people aged 40 and older have received their first dose of vaccine and every adult is eligible.
as of friday, 69 per cent of adults in that age category had received their first shot.
step one will see “bubbles” expand to 10 people. bars and restaurants will be able to seat six people at a table, compared to four today, and churches and other religious centres can expand worship services to 30 per cent of their usual capacity.
saskatchewan’s pandemic summer
the province hopes to further loosen restrictions in the third week of june.
step two of the plan will activate three weeks after 70 per cent of adults 30 and older have received their first dose. it cannot start until at least three weeks after the start of step one.
