premier scott moe told reporters his government will provide “additional guidance” about vaccines, likely early next week, that could include information regarding people under the age of 12, who have not yet been eligible for vaccines. he said he’s hopeful they’ll be eligible later this year.
moe said he continues to encourage residents to get vaccinated if they haven’t done so already.

saskatchewan reported 107 new covid-19 cases on tuesday; 82 involved people who were not vaccinated, 10 were partially vaccinated and 15 were fully vaccinated. twenty-five of the new cases were reported in saskatoon and six in regina.
the seven-day average of daily new cases is 117 or 9.7 per 100,000.
for the week of aug. 11 to 17, the province recorded 820 new cases, bringing the overall total to 51,499 cases. as well, 435 recoveries were recorded during this period.
over the same week, 28 cases were confirmed as variants of concern.
there are now 1,017 active cases in the province, including 235 in saskatoon and 47 in regina.
no new deaths were reported on tuesday. sixty-eight people are currently hospitalized (including 25 in saskatoon and eight in regina); 11 are in intensive care (including seven in saskatoon and two in regina).
