morrissey is reluctant to just go ahead and get two more doses of an approved vaccine on top of the two she had from medicago.
“no one knows what effect four doses could have. there is no data,” she said.
dr. michael libman, the principal investigator for the montreal/mcgill site, said in an email that many have already quit the study because of the issue.
“the fact is that no one knows what the effect or safety of four doses is. probably it is ok. emphasis on the ‘probably,’ ” dr. brian ward, a professor of infectious diseases at the research institute of the muhc, said in an email, adding that all of the “mix-and-match” data collected so far with other vaccines suggest that local and systemic adverse events tend to be slightly increased and the immune responses appear to be generally better when vaccines are mixed.
