how will your children receive education?
of the 19 parents who had children in private schools, eight said they felt safe sending their kids to school. four other private school parents said they would send their kids to school but still worried for their safety, while another four said they would wait to see. only one parent of a private school student reported, “no, i do not think it’s safe yet.” in comparison, out of 55 parents with children in public schools, only 12 said they felt safe sending their children to school.
the majority, 27 respondents, said they would “probably” send their kids back, but they were still worried about their health. six said they would continue to wait and watch the data, while 10 parents straight up said, “no.” one physician parent who plans to have their child tutored cited the “lack of open-mindedness in the public school system,” as well as a belief that safety protocols are inadequate as the deciding factors.
