york regional police are on the hunt for four suspects allegedly involved in a robbery earlier this week.
police say at 3 p.m. this past tuesday three suspects entered a store in the area of woodbine ave. and 14th ave., and made their way to its storage room which housed cell phones.
a store employee suffered minor injuries after being allegedly assaulted during the incident.
police alleged that the three accused stole a quantity of cell phones, fleeing in a dark-coloured suv driven by a fourth suspect. the vehicle was last seen headed northbound on woodbine ave.
the first suspect is described as a male with a thin build, wearing a black-hooded sweater, black pants, black shoes, black mask and blue surgical gloves.
the second suspect is described as a male wearing a black-hooded sweater, black balaclava, black gloves and jordan 1 nike sneakers.
the third suspect was a male, wearing a black-hooded sweater, black pants, black shoes, a black glove on his right hand and carrying a black backpack.
there was no description for the fourth suspect, who was driving the getaway vehicle.

police and paramedics arrived on the scene and tried to revive the 64-year-old male driver of one vehicle. the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
the driver of the second vehicle was treated for minor injuries and remained at the scene.
no charges have been laid so far. police say the investigation continues.
hamilton police are reminding residents to remain vigilant after an increase in distraction thefts in the city.
cops say there have been seven reported distraction thefts since september. most have taken place in the central mountain area, with one report near queenston rd. in stoney creek.
in each incident, hamilton cops say a woman in a vehicle approaches a victim walking in a parking lot. the woman then asks for directions while placing jewelry on the victim. when the woman removes the items. the victim’s jewelry is also taken.

york regional police are seeking suspects and are appealing for witnesses following a shooting at a markham businesss.
cops said on thursday at about 4:15 a.m., a suspect was in the area of markham rd. and castlemore ave. when they discharged a firearm at the business from the rear of a vehicle before fleeing.
authorities believe the incident was targeted although the business was closed at the time and there were no injuries.
investigators are seeking any additional video surveillance from the area or anyone who may have captured dashcam video on nearby roadways at that time.

toronto police are seeking the public’s assistance locating an elopee.
o’neil henry, 43, was last seen on thursday at 1 p.m., in the queen st. w.-ossington ave. area.
he’s described as 5-foot-7, 200 pounds, with braided black hair, brown eyes, and has a moustache. he was last seen wearing a white and green shirt, a brown jacket, black pants, black boots and carrying a grey bag.
the elopee is currently bound by a form 49 warrant of committal and was found not criminally responsible for assaulting a peace officer and two counts of utter threats to cause death or bodily harm.
