police are trying to identify and locate four suspects accused of deliberately setting fire to a retail store in liberty village last week. toronto police said in a news release that officers responded on aug. 14 at 3:47 a.m. to a fire call in the east liberty st.-hanna ave. area.
police alleged that three suspects approached a retail store and removed items from a bag. one of the suspects allegedly smashed the storefront window with an object and the three then allegedly threw “molotov cocktails” into the storefront.
cops said an additional suspect was in the area on a bike, allegedly acting as a lookout.
all four fled the area while toronto fire services attended and extinguished the blaze.
there were no injuries reported.
