according to the ontario government screening tool , symptoms include: fever; cough; shortness of breath; decrease in smell or taste; muscle aches; extreme tiredness; sore throat; runny nose not caused by other things like allergies; headache; nausea, vomiting or diarrhea; abdominal pain; pink eye; and decreased appetite in young children.
according to a crowd-sourced symptom app in the u.k., where the same subvariant dominates, people with covid-19 are now less likely to experience a loss of smell or shortness of breath. the most common symptoms among vaccinated people there are a runny nose, headache, sneezing, sore throat and persistent cough, according to the zoe health study .
in ontario, covid-19 rapid tests are available free at some pharmacies and grocery stores. (www.ontario.ca/rapid-test-locator)
a booster is recommended six months after your last shot or in some cases three months. more information about vaccines and where to get them is available on the oph website .
