arson is suspected in the torching of a vehicle in kirkland on sunday at about 2:30 a.m.
the fire was quickly extinguished, but the vehicle is “a total loss,” said montreal police spokesperson caroline chèvrefils.
no one was injured and the building in front of which the vehicle was parked, a private property on beaubois st. at timberlea trail st., was not damaged.
while no incendiary devices were found, the fire is considered criminal in nature and the montreal police arson squad is investigating.
no arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing, police spokesperson sabrina gauthier said sunday afternoon.
