all of these medical and life sciences facilities are part of an expanding community of leading-edge research and biomedical companies in surrey. the growth of life sciences and biomedical companies in the lower mainland is turning the region into an internationally recognized centre of excellence.
there are more than 2,000 companies employing more than 18,000 people in an industry valued in the billions of dollars. the industry has expanded by more than 13 per cent in the past four years and it continues to attract international talent and investment.
