police said 11:45 a.m., four suspects allegedly broke into a house in the tremaine rd.-louis st. laurent blvd. area.
residents were home at the time and police said the accused posed as a food delivery service.
cops said the accused had a firearm that wasn’t used.
police said a male resident was allegedly assaulted, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
the accused allegedly stole jewelry and other valuables.
police believe this was a targeted home invasion.
the accused were wearing tracksuits with masks, glasses and hooded sweaters.

four males including two youths have been arrested as part of a firearm investigation.
toronto police said that on friday at 8:53 a.m., officers were conducting a traffic stop in the wellington st.-spadina ave. area.

a 17-year-olld male youth from brampton was charged with possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding license/registration, possess restricted or prohibited firearm without holding license/registration, possess loaded regulated firearm, two counts use/handle/store firearm carelessly, occupy motor vehicle with firearm, and unlicensed person possess prohibited/restricted weapon.
the youths can’t be named per the youth criminal justice act.

trio sought for oshawa break-in, theft

three men are sought after a break-in and theft at an oshawa business.
durham regional police alleged that on thursday at 4:15 a.m., the accused broke into the storage area of a furniture business in the simcoe st.-niagara dr. area.
four mattresses were stolen.
the first suspect is described as a white male with a chin-strap beard. he was wearing black clothing.
the second suspect is a white male. he was wearing a two-tone sweater and blue jeans.
the third suspect is also a white male. he was wearing a black baseball hat, black capri-style pants, and multi-coloured running shoes.

2 charged for carjacking, another sought

two males from toronto including a youth have been charged in a carjacking investigation.
toronto police said between last wednesday and thursday, three suspects allegedly committed a break-and-enter in the dufferin st.- glencairn ave. area and a carjacking in the yonge st.-drewry ave. area.
police alleged that last wednesday two suspects approached the victim’s home while a third suspect waited in a vehicle.
the suspects kicked in the door, and searched for vehicle keys.
they fled when they couldn’t find keys.
police also said last thursday, two victims were returning to their vehicle in a parking lot.
they were confronted by two suspects, and one had a knife.

the victims were forced to give up their keys and the suspects allegedly fled in the vehicle.
on friday, police located the vehicle and arrested one of the suspects.
a search warrant was executed on the vehicle and clothing worn during the robberies was found.

on saturday, a search warrant was conducted on an address and the second suspect was arrested.

woman charged, another wanted in fraud probe

toronto police have charged a woman in a $20,000 fraud investigation and are looking for another female suspect.
on friday at 1:55 a.m., police responded to a fraud call in the dundas st.-university ave. area.
police said the victim met two women online on leolist.com before meeting in person. the women allegedly gave the victim, who was rendered unconscious, a pill without disclosing what it was.
the women allegedly took the victim’s valuables including debit and credit cards, spending $20,000.
katie doyle, 24, of british columbia, was arrested on tuesday and charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, administering a noxious thing with intent, theft, fraud, possession of property obtained by crime, sexual assault, taking an intimate photo without consent and voyeurism.

police are on the hunt for a male suspect after a church was broken into earlier this month in seaton village.
toronto police said they responded to a break-and-enter call in the manning-follis aves. area on aug. 2 at about 8:30 p.m. after someone entered a church and allegedly stole personal items and a russian orthodox icon before fleeing.
