toronto cops hunt attacker
toronto police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an october assault investigation.
officers responded to a report that a person had been assaulted in the area of nathan phillips square around 5 p.m. on oct. 22, according to police.
the assault resulted from a verbal altercation and an attacker allegedly headbutted, spat on and pushed the victim before fleeing.

he is described as 5-foot-9, 30-35 years old, 180-200 pounds, with a medium build and a beard.

toronto police reported that officers were called to the store around queen st. w. and gladstone ave., on saturday at about 5:20 p.m. for a robbery call.
the trio had been locked inside the store. it isn’t known if the lock-in was by design or accident.
the store’s owners and customers were able to leave without incident. negotiators eventually came to assist and just before 9 p.m., the trio surrendered.
