durham regional police say a fire in oshawa fire has now become a homicide investigation.
on monday, march 6, at 9:50 a.m., police were called to an address on court st. to assist the oshawa fire department.

oshawa fire was able to put out the house fire but located a deceased person.

amaar jawaid , 22, of oshawa, is the fifth victim of homicide in durham region in 2023.
