a recent fire in essex county has sparked a police investigation.
ontario provincial police are probing a fire that broke out in leamington at around 9 p.m. on jan. 31.
the burning structure on talbot street west was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported, police said in a news release on tuesday.
the fire’s cause has not yet been determined.
the essex county opp crime unit and the ontario fire marshal’s office are continuing the investigation.
for public safety, police said, the area has been secured while the investigation is underway.
police said updates will be provided as information becomes available.
