provincial police continue to investigate a multi-vehicle collision in in rideau lakes township that claimed the life of a 52-year-old orléans man tuesday night. the crash occurred at about 6:30 p.m., on highway 15 south of poonamalie road, in leeds county.
the victim was the lone occupant of one vehicle and was declared deceased at the scene.
two other people in a second car were seriously injured and were airlifted to hospital by ornge air ambulance.
the driver of a third involved vehicle was uninjured.
leeds county opp continues to investigate with the assistance of technical specialists.
highway 15 was closed for several hours overnight but has since been reopened.
the opp is seeking witnesses to the collision and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the leeds county opp at 1-888-310-1122.
