quebec reports nine more covid-19 deaths as hospitalizations drop again

quebec announced on sunday that nine more fatalities had been attributed to covid-19, bringing the province’s death toll since the start of the pandemic to 13,693.
the number of people hospitalized with the virus dropped by 62 to 2,081. covid-19 hospitalizations in quebec have declined by more than 300 in the past week.
of the hospitalized patients, 140 are in intensive care — a decrease of 13.
a further 1,870 covid-19 cases have been identified through pcr tests at the province’s clinics, but insofar as such these tests are unavailable to most quebecers this figure is not considered particularly representative.
