a windsor police officer sustained an injury during an arrest in the city this week.
shortly before 2 p.m. on wednesday, members of the force’s emergency response and drug enforcement units arrested a man in his 20s outside a circle k convenience store at pillette road and seminole street.
while conducting the investigation, an officer was injured and was later transported to hospital with “non-life threatening injuries” to his arm, said const. bianca jackson.

jackson said she could not share more information about the injuries.
the suspect was taken into custody on a drug charge.
a black sedan with a smashed front driver’s side window and damage to the driver’s door was towed from the scene.
