windsor police hunt suspects who used deceased person’s bank card

windsor police arrested one person and issued arrest warrants for three more suspects sought in connection to alleged fraudulent transactions exceeding $19,000.  

using a debit card belonging to a deceased person, police reported friday the suspects allegedly executed 13 fraudulent transactions between july 23 and 29. the transactions included cash withdrawals, purchases and fraudulent cheque deposits amounting to a total of $19,125.  

members of the windsor police service’s financial crimes unit identified the suspects through surveillance footage obtained from various financial institutions across windsor.  

on sept. 10 officers arrested a 47-year-old male in a parking lot in the 500 block of wyandotte street east. he is charged with: f raud over $5,000; c onspiracy to commit an indictable offence; u nauthorized use of credit card data; u sing a credit card obtained by a criminal offence; u sing a forged document.  

three suspects remain outstanding.  

a 40 year old female is wanted for: f raud over $5,000; c onspiracy to commit an indictable offence; u nauthorized use of credit card data; and u sing a credit card obtained by a criminal offence.  

she is described as being five feet, two inches tall; with a slender build, shoulder-length brown hair, and green eyes.

wanted on the same charges is a 31-year-old woman. she is described as a white female, five feet, seven inches tall; with a medium build, long brown hair, and brown eyes.

a 43-year-old man is wanted for the same list of charges, as well as t wo counts of using a forged document; and p ossession of property obtained by crime.  

he is white with a medium build, balding brown hair and brown eyes.
