british mom dies during butt lift, tummy tuck surgery in turkey

kaydell brown's body returned to family with large parts of her brain, lungs and heart missing

a british woman died on the operating table while getting cosmetic surgery in turkey earlier this year.
and the body of kaydell brown, a 38-year-old mother from sheffield, was returned to her family with large parts of her brain, lungs and heart missing.

“she went in for surgery at about 9.30 a.m. and that was the last time i saw her,” sister leanne brown, 40, told britain’s itv .

“i was in the room waiting for her to come back. i’d asked a few times where she was, how long she was going to be and they just kept saying she was coming, and then i got a knock on the door.”
leanne said she was asked to come to another room.
“they took me to a room and they just started trying to say, you know, there’s complications with surgery, you know things can happen. and i said, ‘has my sister died?’ and he just said, ‘i’m sorry, but yeah.'”
leanne said her sister had inquired about procedures offered by clinic expert in istanbul as a way to lift her spirits after a tough few years.
the clinic suggested the “mummy mot”, which includes multiple procedures such as a tummy tuck, liposuction and a brazilian butt lift.

leanne said they were inundated with emails, phone calls and whatsapp messages of what they could look like with the surgery. the final price included flights, a hotel stay and additional discounts if they signed up for multiple procedures.

they decided to go ahead with the surgeries.
leanne said her sister was able to save up £5,400 — nearly $10,000 — before they travelled to turkey for the life-changing surgery.
kaydell went under anesthesia on march 26 but never woke up.
leanne said the clinic offered to fully refund both of their payments and hastily arranged a flight home. the clinic refused to allow her to see her sister.
“they just gave me an envelope and said here’s your money back and here’s your sister’s money back. and here’s your flight. it’s like, sorry she’s dead, here’s your plane ticket,” she said.
“when you go in and you’re paying, they’re your best friends, but when something goes wrong, you’re left to yourself, it’s goodbye.”
back home in the u.k., leanne received another shock: parts of her sister’s body were missing.
“when they returned her body, they kept pieces of her heart and her intestines and that could show the cause of death, but we might not know because they’re not very cooperative,” leanne said.
“they sent a death certificate saying no cause of death. how can they not find anything?”
