with ottawa public health stating that testing capacity has been exceeded, it's not so simple. ottawa public health has a list and description of covid-19 symptoms on its website, including the most common — fever, chills, cough, loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath, etc. — and additional symptoms, such as sore throat, headache and abdominal pain. in a notice wednesday to ottawa doctors, nurse practitioners and walk-in clinics, oph officials said the health unit is advising 10 days of self-isolation, regardless of vaccination status, if timely access to pcr testing is not available and someone is experiencing any of the most common symptoms of covid-19: fever; cough (new or worsening); shortness of breath; decrease or loss of taste or smell; extreme fatigue (not related to receiving a covid-19 vaccine in the past 48 hours); muscle pain (not related to receiving a covid-19 vaccine in the past 48 hours); nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea.
